"The Text Scene"
The text scene was influenced through several teen movies, however none specifically. We thought out that by adding the animation of iMessage bubbles, typing, and receiving and delivered notifaction sounds, it would make the trailer look to a higher standard than just showing the typing footage. We took away the sound filmed through the camera as it was of a poor quality. and replaced this with the iPhone typing sound that we downloaded from Youtube, and additonally the text receive and deliver sound. We created the iMessage bubbles through Paint.Net by downloading the speech bubbles from Google images, and applying a layer of text over it.
The typical "Paying the popular guy to date your bestfriend" was influenced through several chick flicks such as "She's all That" in which the Jock was forced into a bet to get to nerdy girl to Homecoming, whereas we altered this to make it so the protagonist's bestfriend was the one who reinforced the idea of dating her, whilst being payed. This underlays with several coming of age movies where the protagonist and the bestfriend get into a fight due to the involvement with a cute boy.
